Full-time Position

Location: Buffalo, NY 14204.

Compensation: $51,000 a year.

Job Summary: At Buffalo Creek Academy, we are seeking a dynamic, talented, and goal-oriented professional to join us as an Academic Support and Special Education Teacher.

What You’ll Do:

Provisions of both push-in and pull-out support services for students with IEPs and 504 Plans.

Collaboration with general education teachers for planning of support for students with special needs.

All other duties as assigned by the Director of Academic Support (DAS).

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.

Must have a New York State Certificate in Special Education.

Demonstrated success in educating students with special needs and experience with interventions in similar student populations.

Experience with data-driven instruction and the analysis of academic achievement data.

Knowledge of a range of accommodations and modifications as typically described in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Familiarity with the design of the Response to Intervention process and a commitment to executing our RTI process.

Knowledge of standards-based instruction and New York State learning standards.
