Solar Construction Manager with Electrical Experience

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Solar Construction Manager with Electrical Experience, to join our team and lead the charge in delivering exceptional solar projects.
Position Summary:
As a Commercial Solar Construction Manager with Electrical Expertise, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of solar installations. Your responsibilities will include managing multiple sites, coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and leading a team of foremen, subcontractors, and laborers. We are looking for a candidate with proven electrical experience, project management skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch solar installations.
This position is located in Depew NY and requires travel to sites in multiple states. Experience with rooftop and ground mount installations is required. When not on site, which will be rare, you will be working in the office developing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight:
Represent and protect the interests of the company in all construction activities.
Coordinate with office personnel to ensure seamless installation processes for our customers.
Manage multiple construction sites concurrently.
Team Management:
Supervise, monitor, and mentor multiple foremen.
Manage all subcontractors, temporary labor, and company labor both on-site and remotely.
Ensure a professional demeanor and adherence to safety standards among all personnel.
Technical Expertise:
Read and fully understand the plan set and installation manual for all products being installed.
Familiarity with array layouts, wire runs, wire and conduit sizes, and all electrical workings of solar systems.
Supervise daily electrical and mechanical works to ensure compliance with code, timelines, and budget constraints.
Safety and Compliance:
Implement and enforce OSHA regulations, with OSHA 10 required and OSHA 30 preferred.
Coordinate with site inspectors, designers, engineers, and clients as necessary.
Recognize and train in safe practices for solar installations.
Problem Solving:
Independently address and remedy issues, delays, and material shortfalls on-site.
Overcome obstacles presented by electricians and laborers, ensuring the quality and timely completion of work.
Commissioning:
Lead the commissioning and closeout process for solar systems.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in solar construction management on both rooftop and ground mount installations.
In-depth knowledge of solar installation processes, electrical systems, and OSHA regulations.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and find innovative solutions to challenges.
OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
