We're currently hiring an experienced in-house Commercial Solar Design Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team. If you have expertise in PV technology and commercial design processes, along with a drive for continuous improvement, let's connect! We're seeking a reliable expert to craft precise Commercial Solar PV designs with accuracy and proficiency. This individual should possess in-depth knowledge of relevant codes and safety requirements for behind-the-meter designs. Technical acumen in commercial solar design is essential, including understanding interconnection, elevations, voltage requirements, wire sizes, conduit runs, parallel feeds, etc. Attention to detail is paramount, ensuring thorough verification of spec sheets for up-to-date information to avoid discrepancies. If you're meticulous and skilled in these areas, we want you on our team! The ideal candidate should also have experience in managing third-party engineering for multiple projects concurrently. This includes coordinating with external engineering firms to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met, maintaining clear communication channels, and overseeing the quality and accuracy of outsourced engineering work. If you have a proven track record in managing such partnerships and ensuring seamless project execution, we're eager to discuss opportunities with you. Requirements ● Review electrical drawings for methods of Interconnection, voltage drop calculations, conductor schedules and construction standards ● Design/Support commercial and grid supplied Solar Photovoltaic systems. ● Performing electrical load calculations and energy yield analysis. ● Ensuring projects comply with industry standards, codes, and safety practices. ● Collaborating with project managers, other engineers, and clients to deliver effective solar energy solutions. ● Staying abreast of technological advancements and regulatory changes in the solar energy sector. ● Identify appropriate equipment for use in PV systems and support the team in technical qualification of vendors. ● Develop the necessary technical single line diagram for interconnection ● Develop optimal designs for conduit and wire scheduling, routing and equipment plans ● Work cross functionally with sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure clients’ needs and internal deadlines are met ● Manage third party engineering for multiple projects concurrently ● Ability to learn and collaborate in a CRM/Project Management tool base (ZOHO) Qualifications ● Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field preferred ● NABCEP preferred ● 3-5 years experience with C&I solar project design ● Proven commercial solar PV design esperience ● Extensive knowledge of commercial renewable energy systems, either through system installation, design, maintenance,or education ● Strong understanding of electrical systems and grid integration. ● Experienced knowledge AutoCAD and Helioscope ● Strong ability to apply innovative and creative skills to problem solving ● Ability to work with a team ● Ability to navigate through project phases and deliver results with specified timelines.
