Build to Rent (BTR) - Land Financial Analyst, Build to Rent
Job Description Summary
As a Land Financial Analyst, Build to Rent working for Taylor Morrison you will be responsible for working with Corporate Finance Leadership and Division Operation leaders on current and future acquisition pipeline underwriting including all necessary financial due diligence, capital partner reporting, and division forecasting. Will assist in creating functional financial strategies and specific objectives to meet Division P&L goals.
JOB DETAILS
WE TRUST THAT AS A Land FINANCIAL ANALYST, BUILD TO RENT, YOU WILL: (RESPONSIBILITIES)
Underwrite and evaluate investment opportunities sourced by directors and VPs on new rental communities
Prepare & consolidate underwriting material for the internal investment committee in conjunction with multiple departments
Assist Corporate Finance in the preparation of quarterly forecasting and budgets and monthly margin and unit report updates.
Assist the accounting team with cash flow projections for month-end and as necessary with monthly bank draws.
Support the closing of new projects by coordinating any financial requirements from equity partners and lenders including any items related to the final closing statement value. Validate financial data including rent rates and costs with 3rd party vendors and internal teams
Analyze statistical data for consistency with the proforma and current forecast projections
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and other duties as needed and/or assigned
Develop and maintain weekly and monthly reports for internal tracking
Extensive interaction with Region, Corporate & field to assist them with questions and procedures
You are willing to perform other duties as assigned

ABOUT YOU:
3+ years financial/accounting experience required
Prior experience in multifamily development highly preferred
Experience with investment analysis, with an understanding of Net Present Value, Return on Net Assets, and Internal Rate of Return required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
Extensive experience with Excel
Credit report in good standing
FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
Will have responsibilities such as:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
