    Position Overview

    The Builder Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in launching and scaling Bray & Scarff’s builder division. This individual will be responsible for building and leading an Outside Sales Team while also acting as a strategic closer in key meetings with builders, developers, and property management firms. To start, this leader will manage 2–3 sales representatives and 1 order management associate, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Recruit, develop, and lead a high performing Outside Sales Team.

    Partner with sales representatives to close major opportunities with builders, developers, and property managers.

    Drive market share growth within the contract segment through strategic planning and execution.

    Ensure proper use of CRM systems for pipeline tracking, forecasting, and account management.

    Oversee pricing strategies, bids, and proposals to secure profitable projects.

    Collaborate with operations, logistics, and service teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

    Maintain a strong customer-first approach while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

    Monitor sales performance, report results to executive leadership, and implement corrective actions when needed.

    Represent Bray & Scarff at industry events and builder associations.

    Qualifications

    Degree not required, success in the builder sales space is the key qualifier.

    Minimum 5 years of Builder Sales experience in a quota-bearing role.

    Proven track record of team leadership and people management.

    Appliance industry experience preferred, but not required.

    Strong attention to detail combined with a customer-centric mindset.

    Demonstrated ability to negotiate, close, and retain high-value accounts.

    Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales reporting.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Base Salary: $115,000 – $125,000 (based on experience).

    Bonus Structure: ~25% of total compensation, based on sales attainment.

    Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO.

    $400/month mileage allowance for field travel.

    Location & Travel

    Home base: Laurel, Maryland.

    Field-based position requiring regular travel throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia.
