    Builder's Stainless/Glen Easters Metals If you live in Jacksonville, Florida or the surrounding area, and are a “Think Outside the Box “self-starter, have experience drawing in AutoCAD and enthusiastic about enhancing and learning new skills, we are looking for you to join our Team! Our ideal candidate would be familiar with the fabrication of stainless steel process or have an aptitude to learn a new skill and software. The drafting position will produce detailed drawings using AutoCAD. This position will be able to visually communicate concepts, draw rough and detailed scale plans based on preliminary ideas and data using computer-aided design and drafting software for fabrication. The drafter will prepare a visual depiction of a product to be constructed by using multiple angles and views to depict the association of components and systems. This position will consult with coworkers on design and layouts and follow-up with customers. Some experience is good, but we are willing to train the right person with related skills and/or the interest and aptitude who is committed and willing to learn. Responsibilities: • Prepares or modifies detail and layout drawings and sketches based on marked‐up copies, verbal instructions, drawings, specifications, and other data to interpret application of stainless steel products utilizing AutoCAD • Creates shop drawings detailing the intended installation method, description of proposed components, and the specific dimension of materials required to complete the project • Develops necessary views, sections, and details with designer's input • Maintains project drawing files, associated records, and documentation in an orderly condition • Works collaboratively with the design team • Incorporates diagrams, profiles, cross-sections, and details to represent proposed structures • Drafts plans and detailed drawings for fabricated components, assemblies sub-assemblies • Summarizes required materials, enters figures on materials lists, such as description, quantity, and size • Produces plans, sections, elevations, and details to convey mechanical design and construction information • Supports manufacturing and fabrication teams by providing accurate drawing documentation that adheres to project specifications • Notifies Designer immediately if any possible design issues are discovered that create an improper, unworkable, or unsafe condition during the detailing process • Discusses with Supervisor if any changes to the design are identified which may benefit the fabrication or manufacturing process • Manages email correspondence regarding pricing and bids Qualifications: • High School or GED Equivalent required. Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred • Excellent working knowledge and experience working with AutoCAD software • Computer savvy person with various computer experiences and ability to learn new software • Drafting experience to fabricate items • Integrity, versatility, flexibility, and a winning attitude • Ability to follow directions and a willingness to learn • Experience communicating complex ideas visually and meeting deadlines • Creative, Think outside the box self-starter • Team player/Flexible • Above average computer skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Good aptitude for solving problems • Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously • Attention to detail/Time Management • Verbal and written communication skills • Professional demeanor/Learns quickly • Dedicated/Self-motivated/Good at follow-through • Positive attitude/Punctual • Good mathematical skills • Read interpret architectural design drawings specifications Compensation: $18 - $22 per hour
