Responsibilities: • Coordinate and manage the transportation and distribution of goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources • Plan and schedule shipments, considering factors such as transportation modes, routes, and carrier selection • Communicate and collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations and address any issues or concerns that may arise • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and records of shipments, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs documentation • Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively address any delays or disruptions • Evaluate and select transportation and logistics service providers, negotiating contracts and rates to ensure cost-effective and reliable services • Continuously analyze logistics processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements, such as customs regulations, transportation safety standards, and environmental regulations • Provide regular reports and updates on logistics activities, including key performance indicators and metrics Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role • Strong knowledge of logistics principles, best practices, and industry trends • Proficient in using logistics management software and systems • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping • Knowledge of international logistics and customs regulations is a plus • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 yearly
