    Building Attendant

    Burns Management is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Attendant to maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality in a mixed-use residential, retail, and restaurant property in Saratoga Springs, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring both the living, common area, and dining spaces are kept to a high standard, are consistently well-maintained, clean, and welcoming for residents, guests, and patrons. The Building Attendant will be tasked with supporting the smooth operation of assigned buildings, and act as a liaison between management teams, vendors, guests, and residents.

      Wage Status: $20-22 hour

    • Schedule: Varies per week, will include evenings and weekends

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Perform daily cleaning of common and residential areas (hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairwells, rest rooms, apartments).

    • Maintain task checklists provided by service foreman

    • Light concierge tasks as needed

    • Maintain positive attitude, support resident and guest relations

    • Monitor and report maintenance issues (e.g., lighting, plumbing, HVAC).

    • Respond to resident service requests and assist with minor repairs.

    • Manage trash and recycling collection from designated areas.

    • Ensure secure access to the building; monitor visitor entry as needed.

    • Act as liaison between management teams and building guests

    • Assist with supply stocking.

    • Understand the gold standard and identify/remedy deficiencies

    • Support during health inspections or emergencies (e.g., spills, minor maintenance).

    • Coordinate repairs and communicate with vendors as necessary

    • Other tasks in support of overall operational excellence of the building, as identified by supervising staff

    Qualifications :

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Prior experience in custodial, building maintenance, or hospitality preferred.
    • Must maintain clean and professional appearance at all times.
    • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs, and must demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn.
    • Ability to lift 40+ pounds and perform physical tasks.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    Safety Responsibilities :

    Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner
