    Outside Sales Rep - Wholesale Lumber and Building Materials

    Mid-Atlantic Area - Based out of Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD

    Our client is a well-known and well-respected wholesale lumber and building products distributor that serves lumberyards. They are passionate about providing a high level of service to their customers.

    The Ideal Candidate Is:

    • Proactive and self-motivated, with a knack for seeking out new opportunities.

    • Relationship-focused, skilled in building and maintaining trust with clients.

    • Adaptable and resilient, able to navigate market changes and customer demands with a positive, can-do attitude.

    The Ideal Candidate Has:

    • Experience selling lumber and/or high-quality exterior building products, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Past success selling to lumberyards in the territory is preferred. *If you're in an Inside Sales Role and want to get outside this could be your opportunity! 

    • Strong negotiation and communication skills, capable of effectively articulating value propositions to diverse audiences.

    • An aptitude for territory management, from strategic planning to tactical execution.

    • Experience with new business development, including prospecting and cold calling, showing tenacity and creativity in expanding the customer base.

    Responsibilities + Opportunities:

    • Nourish existing lumberyard customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty while maximizing sales opportunities.

    • Prospect for new business, expanding the client base and territory through strategic outreach and networking.
