    Business Development Sales Rep - Window Components

    Midwest Territory - MI, WI, IL, IN, MN

    You can live in any part of the territory.  We also have an opening for pre-hung door components in this territory.

    Our client is a well-established manufacturer of wood window and door components that is looking to expand its customer base of window manufacturers in the upper Midwest territory of MI, WI, IL, IN, and MN The company has been in business for decades and has a long history of high quality products and fast delivery times. Our client is privately-held and has a relatively young leadership team that is looking to grow.

    If you’re an experienced Business Development Rep or Sales Rep in the window components industry this is a great opportunity for you to use your connections in the industry to quickly build a robust customer base. Our client has a very compelling value proposition and has secured multiple new customers without a dedicated sales rep in the area. Because of this success, they’ve decided to add a New Business Development Sales Rep to their Midwest Territory. Our client is looking for someone who is wired for new business development and is excited to open up new window manufacturers as customers and wants to be rewarded for their efforts with a strong pay for performance aspect to their compensation plan (with the security of a base salary.)

    The ideal candidate is:

    • A “hunter” - someone who is excited by the opportunity to introduce companies to products that will help them achieve their goals.

    • An established sales person whose proven they can work from home and successfully manage a multi-state territory.

    • Driven, but with a strong customer service orientation

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Past success selling to and relationships with Window or Window and Door Manufacturers in the Midwest Region (Highly Preferred)

    • A strong knowledge base of window components and what window manufacturers are looking for in partners.

    • A strong understanding of Eastern Pine or Ponderosa Pine would be beneficial

    • Past success opening up new customers, particularly in the window and door manufacturing space.

    • A valid Driver's License and Passport is required due to international travel requirements

    Responsibilities + Opportunities:

    • You’ll be responsible for prospecting and converting target companies into customers in the Midwest territory

    • The opportunity to build a book of business with a product that has strong demand in the territory and has the opportunity to be the primary or secondary provider to the manufacturer to get your foot in the door.

    • You’ll be responsible for ensuring that you manage your time, travel, your target accounts, and customers to win new business and maintain the business you win.

    • You’ll work directly for the company and receive excellent training and support with access to the President to help win over prospective customers and close deals.
