Building Kidz San Carlos is a preschool with a performance arts enriched curriculum. Our unique and proven curriculum integrates the performing arts such as dance, theater, musical instruments, movement with customized learning experiences to enhance children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, communicative and academic development.

OUR PRE-SCHOOL & CHILDCARE CENTER is looking for an enthusiastic TEACHER AND A TEACHER ASSISTANT to join our team in providing a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children in and around the Peninsula area. THIS JOB IS FOR BUILDING KIDZ SAN CARLOS ONLY.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Teaching and caring for 18 month+ toddlers and 2-5 year old preschoolers

• Works with children and manages classroom activities such as circle time, dramatic play, carrying out age appropriate curriculum singing songs, musical movement and dances, and helping with children' behavior

• Works collaboratively with other staff and Director, is reliable punctual to work and demonstrates a positive and professional attitude. Being a team player is essential

• Shares responsibility and helps with classroom set up, disinfecting and clean-up of classroom every day

• Engages with current and prospective parents and family members and is responsive to their needs, provides customer service and build trust

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

• Minimum of 12 ECE completed units (6 ECE units for Teaching Assistant)
• High School Graduate or enrolled in a ROP at an accredited high school
• College graduate with AA or Bachelor's Degree or enrolled in the degree program; CA Child Development Permit Master or Teachers' permit Or currently enrolled in ECE classes
• CPR and First Aid EMSA Certification, AB 1207 Mandatory Reporter certificate and Pesticide Training Certificate or willingness to obtain (we will pay if you need to renew or get one)
• Fingerprint and background clearance or willingness to obtain
• Meets experience criteria required by the state
• Proof of TB, immunization & health screening(Or can obtain)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations: Everybody is required to wear a mask. In addition frequent sanitization and disinfecting, social distancing and testing practices followed. All the teachers are vaccinated.
