Building Engineer / Plant Operator Job Summary:
The Building Engineer / Plant Operator performs Energy Management System inspections every 2 hours, recording of readings and reporting conditions and deficiencies. We’re looking for engineers who will complete the above tasks professionally and assist with minor tasks related to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and other trades within a medical facility. Daily duties will include working with the facility management team complete a backlog of service tickets, and provide a safe environment for building occupants.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$31 to $40 per hour depending on experience

PRIMARY BUILDING ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform building and systems inspections, making necessary modifications to building systems
Complete Corrective Maintenance requests professionally
Work with vendors to complete contracted work orders to meet expectations
Maintain records, reports, and evaluations, and provide recommendations regarding necessary building maintenance operations
Identify and help to order parts, materials, equipment, and supplies that are needed
Manage Siemens, Trane, Johnson and Schneider Electric Building Management System (BMS) / Energy Management System (EMS) as directed by Lead/Chief Engineer
Maintain a clean engineering office, mechanical plant, mechanical rooms, and general appearance
Follow all safety rules and regulations
Perform related work as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 - 5 years maintaining equipment and systems in medical buildings
Possess demonstrated high-level mechanical skills and abilities with HVAC equipment, with 5 years documented journeyman level HVAC experience or stationary engineer license equivalent.
High-level experience and skills in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment
Basic technology skills necessary to manage work order applications on mobile phone and learn to operate Building Automation Systems
High School diploma or equivalent, and must be able to communicate effectively in English
Occasionally work overtime to perform necessary repairs or maintenance that are necessary to complete during off-hours
Must meet the occupation requirements, such as lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling for 1 hour, and climbing ladders.
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
Must possess a CFC Universal certification
