Job description

The Blain Group is a privately-owned commercial property owner with two award winning multi-story buildings in Livonia, Michigan as well as five single-story buildings throughout Southeast Michigan.

We have a need for a full-time Building Maintenance Technician. This position has a 40 hour work week, and salary is commensurate with experience. The candidate should be experienced, dependable, and hard working.

Responsibilities:

Office build-outs (demo, wall construction, drywall, ceiling tiles, painting, etc…)

Maintain HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, repair furniture, etc…)

Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and ballasts)

Respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues as directed by Property Manager

Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects

Maintain corporate safety procedures

Requirements:

High school diploma/GED required

Proven experience as building maintenance technician

Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime as needed

Must have the ability to climb heights, lift up to 60lbs. and climb onto ladders

Pay: $25.00 per hour
