    This forward-thinking and design-focused architecture firm in Los Angeles is looking for another UX Designer to join their Research & Development team! This is a great opportunity for architectural designers that already use evidence-based design and strategy in their design process to join a practice where they can dedicate their career to this sector within architecture. 

    You will be a resource to many of the offices of this firm, and have the opportunity to work out of any of the following offices:

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with multiple architecture teams to put UX design into practice
    • Collaborate with the R&D, and the firm at large, to integrate knowledge and approaches to help solve problems
    • Lead client meetings
    • Identify new research topics
    • Create new approaches and technologies for data collection, effectively interpret and disseminate findings, and apply insights to inform design
    • Prepare documents for publications, and presentations for conferences
    • Keep projects on schedule, within budget, and within scope

    Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of experience in architecture and design, higher education, science and technology, or healthcare industries
    • Background in Design Thinking, Workplace Strategy, Strategic Planning, and/or Design Research
    • User Experience design in the architecture field preferred but not required (please make this experience very clear in your cover letter or resume)
    • Flexible thinker who can work across several different project types concurrently
    • Excellent verbal, written, and relational communication
    • Self-starter, self-accountable, and action-oriented
    • A team-oriented person with a creative and analytical approach
    • Business-savvy and knowledgeable of client metrics and needs, and how to translate these needs and goals into experience design
    • Knowledge of user research needs and trends in the design space
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (including PowerBI), Adobe Creative Suite, Qualtrics, and other data collection/analyses tools
