A multi-disciplinarian A/E/C firm is looking for a Construction Monitor (Roofing/Waterproofing) to provide monitoring and quality assurance services for various aspects of new and remedial construction projects throughout the Islands. We are looking for local candidates with the following experience and qualifications. This position will be based out of our Honolulu office.

Desired Skills and Experience:

-1-3 years of inspection and construction observation/monitoring experience working as a monitor/observer, inspector.
-Experience providing monitoring inspection services for multi-family residential, institutional and commercial construction projects
-Familiarity or expertise in roofing, waterproofing, stucco, siding, windows, sealants and other building envelope areas
-Ability to observe construction activities, verify compliance with contract documents, plans and specifications and identify installation defects
-Ability to produce and maintain daily reports and records of construction activities
- ICC or RRO certification a plus
-Willing to learn the State of California construction standards.
-2 to 4 year college level education; a degree in architecture, civil engineering or a similar field a plus
-Excellent oral/written communication and analytical skills
-Self-starter with ability to accept responsibility for projects and see them through to completion
-Ability to work as individual contributor and contribute as part of a larger project team; must be team oriented and able to work in a culture that encourages professional growth and innovation
-Willingness and desire to learn and apply new concepts to assignments and projects
- Good computer skills are a must -- MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook
-Must be able to make extended trips, including field visits to construction sites; travel may be required
-Must have outstanding client service
-Comfortable with heights

-Must hold a current driver's license and have reliable transportation
