Goals & objectives:
- Increase market share in assigned territory
- Develop and introduce potential existing clients/ contacts as potential new work
- Increase proposal requests and output
- Close contracts and achieve targeted contract goals !!!
General Responsibilities will include:
- Target specific research and outreach
- Maintain CRM database
- Qualify and prepare responses to opportunities, including proposal drafts
- Assess potential new clients, projects, regions; and strategy for proactive outreach
- Perform market research and prepare regular status updates
Reporting
- Analyze and summarize data from business development research and systems
- Prepare weekly summary on new leads, proposals (won/lost) and subsequent lessons learned
- Weekly updates on targets by region, sector, client and project scale/ type, etc.
Management Responsibilities
- Be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with firm leadership
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Present a professional appearance and results oriented
- Must have the ability to travel extensively and possess personal auto
- 20% office/80% outside meetings - travel
- Effectively represent firm at major trade shows and professional exhibitions
Experience/Credentials
- MBA or similar professional degree
- Minimum of two to three years experience working in business development in a direct to client capacity
- Advanced Spanish writing and spoken word a plus
