  • Responsibilities

    An international firm is looking for a senior level Architectural Project Designer (10+ years) with a focus on Commercial Office Buildings (COBD). They are looking for a key player and leader who can develop relationships, lead design teams and further develop an architectural practice in our office. Exceptional design skills, a portfolio of innovative design concepts, and an emphasis on built work are desired.

     

    What You Will Do

    • Design and plan complex architectural projects of varying types

    • Manage multiple aspects of client, project coordination, and general contractors including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants

    • Manage client relationships and team communication

    • Resolve complex technical and design issues

    • Maintain the project manual and specifications

    • Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews

    • Process submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc. during construction

    • Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project

     

    Your Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in Architecture or Design preferred, with a rigorous design education

    • 10+ years of relevant architecture and design experience, with a strong background designing multiple building typologies of varying scale

    • Registered Architect preferred

    • Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and 3ds Max

    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

    • Outstanding graphic presentation skills

    • Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents

    • Proven ability to lead and direct design teams and projects

    • Desire to mentor and grow less experienced staff
