Job Description:
Reporting to the CEO, this position will be involved with all aspects of accounting – including production of monthly financial report, maintenance of accurate accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and ensure that reports and records comply with GAAP.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department.
- Payroll
- Process Bi-weekly payroll through 3rd party payroll administrator
- Prepare Tax Report
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax report from Deltek
- Prepare annual San Francisco business tax report
- Accounts Payable
- Complete, verify and audit all data input to ensure accurate Accounts Payable processing.
- Prepare and process deposits.
- Reconcile and supervise client petty cash management, including entry into the system.
- Supervise Reconciliation of credit card statements.
- Coordinate service with outside advisors and service providers (attorneys, accountants, insurance brokers, bankers, investment advisors).
- Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies.
- Accounts Receivable/Billing
- Oversee invoicing system and entries; set up new clients and users.
- Construct and prepare client invoices.
- Oversee financial management of local and foreign clients to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.
- Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
- Serve as primary legislative liaison to bank, CPA relative to company financial issues.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years business accounting, preferably in a design or professional services environment.
- Deltek Vision experience is a definite plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
