Job Description
ACI Solutions is seeking a Business Development team member. In this role, you will collaborate with the ACI CGO to support the business development, capture, and proposal team through conducting in-depth research, collecting data, attending industry events, conducting information analysis, helping capture overall business development activities, and contributing to new business growth. The ideal candidate embodies the company's entrepreneurial, "start-up" mentality and is a versatile contributor, directly engaging and supporting across multiple tasks and phases of the business development lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing: ACI Solutions is hiring to support this team with an enthusiasm for detail-oriented and transparent client and team support. The successful candidate will enjoy supporting the operational needs of a business development team, demonstrate excellent communication skills, an ability to work within a team, and a desire to achieve accurate results. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and in coordination with other team members and other intersecting teams, and ready to dive in with any tasks needed to complete the work.
Familiarity with U.S. Federal Government agencies and/or procurement process
Manages and helps the team stay on top of tasks and does not drop the ball.
Excellent organization and tracking abilities.
Analyze requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposal (RFPs), and requests for quotation (RFQs)
Ability to perform in-depth analytical research on prospective opportunities, partners, or competitors.
Capable of inferring methods of researching information based on the nature, context, or likelihood of useful information.
Comfortable performing deadline driven tasks and fostering participation from others.
Coordinate, research, and implement plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities.
Capable of presenting strategic or industry-related briefings to top executives.
Ability to pick up the phone and call potential partners, prospective customers, and internal stakeholders.
High proficiency in MS Office Suite, and minor graphics editing.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or another related field.
2-5 years of experience.
Identify and research new business opportunities using FBO, GovWin IQ, FPDS, and other databases
Familiarity with Federal Agencies and government contracting to be conversant in terminology, policies, organizational structure, etc.
Accomplished business developer who understands project management, contracts, and proposal development.
Demonstrates attention to detail, high degree of maturity and professionalism, logical thinking; excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to resolve issues, strong organizational skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
Excellent diplomacy and communication skills with both clients and technical staff
Ability and desire to work independently, provide ideas for process improvement
Ability and desire to help guide others in their career development needs
Ability to obtain the required government security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
Option 1: Bonus Structure Overview
Basis: The bonus is calculated as a percentage of the deal size that the Business Development (BD) associate leads.
Percentage: The initial bonus rate is set at 0.5% of the total deal size each year.
Accumulation: The bonus accumulates over the lifetime of the deal and increases as the contract or deal size grows.
Payment timeline: Monthly bonus is paid 30 days after the first invoice is submitted to the client.
Payment qualifications: Quarterly bonuses are paid while considered an active full-time employee. Any change to employment status will stop future payments.
