Bulls Eye Recruiting is representing a manufacturing company in Houston, Texas and is looking for an Onsite Senior Accountant.  The candidate will be assisting the Accounting department by handling all general accounting duties. This position will require organization and time management skills. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to GL reconciliations, monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, inventory, and cost variance analysis. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Expectations:

Responsibility Expectation/Measurements

• Daily bank reporting.
• Analyze financial statements
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Coordinate financial responsibilities with the accounting team
• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Participate and work closely with team members to achieve the month- end close
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
• Research and analyze expense variances for company management

• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
• Maintain inventory of raw materials
• Revenue forecasting
• Analyze monthly WIP reports and calculate accruals
• Calculate percent of completion for revenue recognition monthly
• Review and analyze payroll expenses
• Review margins for job costing accuracy
• Understanding of BOM’s and Fixed Assets
