Welcome to BUONA! We're the largest, family owned and operated restaurant in greater Chicago. Our family is coming to Countryside and is looking for COOKS, CASHIERS & PORTERS to join our exciting Grand Opening team!

This is a unique experience for you to meet our family, try our beef, and be a part of something great!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CASHIER/EXPEDITER/SERVER/DRIVE-THRU:

• Knowledge and understanding of our menu
• Take pride in every aspect of your work and perform with enthusiasm
• Communicate and work with your team to give outstanding service to our guests
• Greet every guest with a smile!
• Be able to recognize our food as it is presented from the kitchen
• Ensure all food is being made properly before being handed out to guests
• Communication with kitchen and servers
• Assist with take-out/phone orders
• Serve & auction food properly and in a timely manner

COOK/COCINERO (1-3 YRS OF COOK EXPERIENCE PREFERRED):

• Learn the following positions (aprenderá las siguientes posiciones): Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Pasta, Cafe/Salads & Prep
• Follow recipes and food preparation processes properly (seguirá recetas y preparación de comida apropiadamente) such as cooking, seasoning, grilling, chopping, dicing, cutting and slicing
• Maintain appropriate portion control and monitoring food levels on the line (mantendrá un control adecuado de las porciones y monitorea los niveles de alimentos en línea)
• Prepare quality food that meets our Buona standards (prepare alimentos de calidad que cumplan con nuestros estándares de Buona)
• Restock food line
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety (Cumplira con las normas de salud y seguridad de alimentos, limpieza y seguridad)
• Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders (Será rápido y preciso en el cumplimiento de pedidos)
• Handle raw and finished waste according to established procedures (manejara los desechos crudos y terminados de acuerdo con los procedimientos establecidos)
• Act with a sense of urgency with all guests, whether dine-in, takeout, or drive-thru (actuará con un sentido de urgencia con todos los invitados, ya sea para cenar, para llevar o para llevar)
• Washing cookware and utensils and cleaning equipment as assigned (lavar utensilios de cocina y utensilios y equipos de limpieza según lo asignado)

PORTER (BILINGUAL PREFERRED):

• Clear, clean and organize tables efficiently
• Fill water pitcher, stock glassware, silverware and all products available on the condiment table and individual tables
• Restock clean dishes in all areas of the restaurant
• Accept deliveries and stocks in appropriate storage places
• Provide customers with a pleasant experience when interacting with them
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations
• Set up and break down dining room and service stations

• Self-motivated
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• 1+ year in customer service role is a plus, but not required
