Join our team and play a key role in the installation and maintenance of underground utility infrastructure. As a Buried Groundman, you'll work alongside skilled operators and foremen to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality construction of underground cable systems.

Responsibilities:

• Load, transport, and unload materials to and from job sites
• Set up and maintain safe, compliant work zones following all safety regulations and guidelines
• Prepare work areas by shoveling dirt, digging holes/trenches, and assisting the Machine Operator in laying conduit
• Perform spot digging to safely expose existing utilities
• Feed cable from large reels into conduit
• Ensure proper placement of marker tape when laying cable in the ground
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris
• Assist the Foreman with daily paperwork and project documentation

Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in underground construction preferred
• Must have experience operating equipment such as: Digger Derrick, Mini-Ex, Vermeer equipment, Placer Trucks, and Missiles
• CDL license preferred (required for certain positions)
• Knowledge of Ditch Witch cable plows preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment and handle pressure
• Willingness to work on-call shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physical ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Valid driver's license required

This position pays $25-$30 per hour, based on experience
