    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    We are looking for a staff accountant to join our finance and accounting department. The staff accountant’s primary responsibilities will be to maintain general ledger records, reports, and reconciliations. This role will support and report to the accounting manager. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), excellent communication skills, be well organized, wisely utilize time management and manage multiple projects, and possess strong analytical skills.

    ACCOUNTABILITY

    • HQ Gym and BMCo Accounting
    • Bank Reconciliations
    • Sales Tax
    • BSP Ticket Administration

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintain general ledger accounts, records, and reports
    • Prepare journal entries, lead schedules, and reconciliations for month-end close process
    • Meet reporting deadlines for month end close
    • Upload accounting data files to the ERP system
    • Analyze financial results of franchise locations for opportunities, benchmarks, and best practices
    • Ad hoc reporting and information requests as needed
    • Assist the Finance Team in process improvement initiatives

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Bachelor’s preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Working knowledge of GAAP
    • Solid time management skills
    • Well-organized and detail-oriented
    • NetSuite and experience a plus
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power Maps a plus
