Job Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, and repair commercial and industrial gas and oil burners
Service and troubleshoot commercial boiler systems
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment tune-ups
Conduct combustion analysis and optimize burner performance
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, combustion, and control systems
Repair and replace pumps, motors, nozzles, ignition systems, controls, and related components
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Perform equipment startup and commissioning
Complete service documentation and maintenance reports
Respond to emergency service calls as part of an on-call rotation
Ensure all work complies with OSHA requirements and applicable codes
Qualifications
3+ years of commercial gas/oil burner service experience
Strong knowledge of commercial boilers and burner systems
Experience troubleshooting electrical controls and combustion systems
Working knowledge of hydronic and steam heating systems
Experience with combustion analysis and emissions testing preferred
Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience is a plus
Valid gas/oil burner technician license or certification, where required
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training preferred
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
