    ABOUT THE POSITION

    The full-time Sales Engineer position, based in our Boston headquarters, plays a critical role in establishing technical credibility and confidence for Burning Glass Technologies' API solution and professional services.  The Sales Engineer consults with our Enterprise & Human Capital Management (‘HCM') prospects, customers and partners to envision and communicate how our solution best serves their specific use cases.  

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and demonstrate technical collateral to prospects
    • Develop proposal in response to RFIs/RFPs
    • Manage the prospect throughout the evaluation stage through to closure 
    • Lead post-proposal technical workshop sessions (online meetings or in-person) for technical and business audiences from various levels of management and different departments (including developers)
    • Create and maintain project schedules/milestones and associated documentation
    • Serve as an informed technical and functional authority for each assigned client and drive continued value of our products and services

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Outstanding presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) 
    • Experience with APIs, schemas and devising architectural and integration workflows
    • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building ability
    • Ability to travel as needed and to work effectively with both a local and distributed team
    • Experience in business analysis, sales engineering & project management (or like-minded roles)
    • Bachelor's degree
