    Location: Atlantic City, NJ

    Shift: Full-Time, Monday- Friday

    Salary: $70,000-$80,000

    Overview:

    The Controller will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activity for the company and all associated business activity. He/she will lead all day-to-day finance operations and supervise a team of staff members including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing.

    The Controller oversees the operations of the Finance Department, which include accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.

    • 7+ years of accounting and finance experience required

    • Experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.

    • Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.

    • MBA, CPA or CMA preferred

    • Experience in a complex healthcare organization that has multiple programs is preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.

    • Oversees all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems for the production of periodic financial reports.

    • Maintains internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.

    • Ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles, international financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.

    • Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.

    • Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.

    • Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

    • Coordinates all audit activity and works with external auditors as needed. Files quarterly and annual reports per regulatory requirements.

    • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

    • Assists leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administers and reviews all financial plans and compares to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.

    • Engages with the executive leadership around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.

    • Oversees all financial, project/program and grants accounting; ensures that expenditures are consistently aligned with program budgets throughout the grant/fund period; collates financial reporting materials for government, corporate, and foundation grants.

    • Manages organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the program directors; continuously collaborates with program directors to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establishes finance and administrative systems to support program operations.

    • Manages and tracks the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.

    • Consistently analyzes financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicates monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;

    • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
