    Job Description

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    The Technical Architect (TA) is a hybrid role with a focus on both technical leadership delivery and presales activities. The TA provides pre-sales technical support and expertise in identifying client requirements, while analyzing a wide variety of technologies and solutions, including:  SASE, NGFW, SDWAN, MFA, NAC, overlay network topologies, traditional 3 tier network topologies, public and private cloud security and multi-vendor topology design to ensure the technical solutions proposed meet the client’s objectives. The TA also has responsibility for providing oversight on the solution to be delivered and giving guidance to the consulting teams who are implementing the solution. 

    In addition to the above, your responsibilities will include: 

    • Being an expert on Burwood Secure Networking Solutions; working directly with Sales and Marketing to craft go-to-market solutions and scoping of new opportunities 
    • Leading the architecture and strategy process for the client, including necessary tools, processes, and services that map to their strategic IT business initiatives, defining requirements, and creating scoping documents 
    • Aligning with both Burwood and Partner sales teams to identify and drive Secure Networking solutions with a consultative and strategic approach 
    • Building strong, continuous relationship at all levels of our clients; becoming their go-to advisor for all Secure Networking technologies 
    • Providing strong technical oversite and subject matter expertise on Secure Networking portfolio solutions from the initial engagement, through to hand off to project completion 
    • Acting as a mentor, coach, and escalation point for Secure Networking practice resources 
    • Providing an architectural and consultative approach with our clients from a high-level holistic view and roadmap through to assessment and implementation of solutions.
    • Working with the Practice Manager to further develop the workgroup resources and ensure team development and familiarity with Secure Networking solutions 
    • Driving process improvement, delivery efficiency, and practice profitability

    • You have a strong technology background that includes consulting and pre-sales experience. 
    • You can engage in analytical and consultative conversations at all levels (CIO, COO, Director, etc.), and you’re adept at identifying and solving problems. 
    • You can map technical solutions to business challenges and objectives and create a solution based that can be delivered as an outsourced model. 
    • You have experience delivering solution review presentations to business leaders. You have a strong understanding of network
    • and security architectures, solutions, processes, frameworks, and components. 
    • You love having analytical and consultative conversations, and you are adept at identifying and solving problems. 
    • You have experience working with project managers to establish a project plan and managing a team of technical resources to complete project activities in a customer environment. 
    • You have a passion for technology and keep informed of market trends, solution insights new vendors and methods. 
    • You enjoy mentoring members of sales and delivery teams. 
    • You have excellent communication skills whether that be in-person, over-the-phone or e-mail.
    • You have strong technical-writing skills

     

    _THE TECH STUFF _

    • Background in designing and delivery of enterprise level Data Center technologies with Palo Alto Strata, Prisma Access, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco FTD, Cisco ISE, Cisco Nexus and Catalyst product offerings. 
    • Past experience deploying enterprise level SDN technologies, including Cisco ACI or Arista and SDWAN products, Viptella, Cloudgenx or SilverPeak. 
    • Solid understanding of Data Center and Public Cloud interconnects, including MPLS and VPLS 
    • Proven hands-on experience working with campus network products from Cisco, Aruba or Arista
    • CCNP R/S- current 
    • Minimum PCSNE- current

      

    Candidates with the following skills are a plus: 

    • Palo Alto PCSNC certification 
    • CCNP Security certification 
    • Cisco ISE or Aruba Clearpass 
    • Wireless products from Cisco or Aruba 
    • Any of CCIE R/S, ACMX, or ACDX
