About the Role:

Ammons Transportation Service Inc is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Bus and Grounds Maintenance team member to join our Chicago, IL operation. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in keeping our fleet clean and our facilities looking their best. If you take pride in your work and love staying busy, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and fueling on buses and fleet vehicles

Identify and report maintenance issues, fluid levels, tire conditions, and safety concerns

Maintain grounds and facility exterior, including landscaping, snow removal, and debris cleanup

Conduct minor repairs and upkeep on transportation equipment and facility infrastructure

Keep maintenance logs and records up to date for fleet and grounds activities

Ensure compliance with safety standards and transportation regulations

Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner

Requirements:

Prior experience in customer service and maintenance, grounds keeping, or a related field preferred

Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor repairs

Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, blowers, weed whackers, and snowplows

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks

Office cleaning

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Valid driver's license preferred; CDL a plus and increased salary

Must pass a basic background check and basic medical exam
