The Senior Accounting Specialist assures that the company runs on a firm financial foundation, by ensuring thorough and complete knowledge of codes and regulations as required by government regulations. Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills. Experience with accounting and QuickBooks software is required. A minimum of 2 years of current Payroll experience. Must complete a satisfactory background screening.
Major Responsibilities:
Recording of all revenue in data management system
Making daily deposits of checks received into bank
Running credit cards and ACH invoice payments
Running and reviewing financial reports such as receivables, profitability of job types, and reporting on such
Managing receivables and collections
Bi-weekly billing
Payroll coordination, processing, and disbursement to employees
Office administration including training on use of data management and payroll systems
Assisting with company hiring; Knowledge of Medical, Dental & Vision programs and distribution to employees
Software experience with Word, Excel and other applications
Ordering postal supplies
May require work during evenings and weekends to support program related events and activities and weekly on call duties
Any other duty requested to maintain the operation of the business
Physical Qualifications:
Able to work an average of 40+ hours per week. Able to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per day. Able to lift 20-30 pounds. Able to use tools necessary for job. Able to communicate effectively.
