Job Description

As a Business Advisor / Field Support Specialist, you’ll travel throughout your assigned territory visiting Signarama locations and working directly with franchise owners and their teams.

Your goal is simple: help our franchisees run better businesses.

Essential Duties:

• Visit franchise locations to understand what’s working and where there are opportunities to improve.
• Work directly with owners and managers on sales, operations, marketing, staffing, and profitability.
• Use P&Ls and other financial information to help identify opportunities for growth.
• Help franchisees set realistic goals and create plans to achieve them.
• Provide guidance on marketing programs, training, technology, and best practices.
• Help troubleshoot operational and technical challenges.
• Share ideas and successful practices from other Signarama locations.
• Work closely with the corporate team to make sure franchisees have the support and resources they need.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with franchise owners and their teams.
• Celebrate successes and help work through the challenges that come with running a business.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time throughout your assigned territory.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Sign Industry Experience Is Important

We’re looking for someone who understands the sign business. Experience working in a sign shop, sign franchise, signage manufacturing, sales, production, installation, or a related area is highly valued.

You don’t necessarily need to have done every job in a sign shop, but you should understand the industry, the challenges owners face, and what it takes to turn opportunities into profitable work.

Previous experience as a Business Advisor, Field Support Specialist, Operations Manager, General Manager, or similar role is a plus. Franchise experience is also helpful.

Other Qualifications

• Experience working with budgets and P&L statements.
• Understanding of sales, marketing, and retail business practices.
• Experience helping businesses improve processes and profitability.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to help franchisees work through labor, vendor, supplier, and operational challenges.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable working with owners, managers, and employees at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to get involved and find solutions.
• Technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new technology.
• Experience with graphic design software, point-of-sale systems, accounting software, or other technology commonly used in the sign industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other common business software.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Flexibility to travel approximately 50% of the time.
