Business Analyst - Consultant

Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid - 1 day remote per week)
Duration: 12 months (with possibility for extension)
Eligibility: Green Card holders or US Citizens only
Residency Requirement: Must be a current South Carolina resident - no relocation allowed

About the Role

We're seeking 3 experienced Business Analysts to join our MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) Modernization team. This is a new position created to provide critical business integration expertise and support for South Carolina's healthcare system transformation.

What You'll Do

• Provide business integration expertise for MMIS Modernization efforts
• Analyze complex healthcare and Medicaid business processes
• Bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders
• Support system modernization initiatives with detailed business requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial healthcare
• 3+ years of experience in State Medicaid payer system integration and delivery
• 1+ year with Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) business architecture principles
• 1+ year with standard data structures, electronic data interchange, processes and related file formats (SharePoint, Microsoft Suite)
• Must be authorized to work in the US (Green Card or US Citizen)
• Current South Carolina resident required

Preferred Qualifications

• Large business and technology integration experience
• Commercial integrations with Medicaid or other Government operations
• Experience with full project management lifecycle
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work in both Agile and traditional project environments
