POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst is a member of the Business Intelligence team and leads analytics initiatives, delivering strategic insights and advanced models that improve business performance. This role emphasizes proactive insight generation, KPI ownership, and contribution to enterprise data strategy and architecture.
Position: Business Analyst Reports to: Director, Business Intelligence Location: Jacksonville, FL or Remote Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead development of advanced Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting
Define and standardize KPIs across the organization
Drive insight generation tied to margin, cycle time, and operational performance
Develop forecasting, segmentation, and predictive models
Partner with leadership to influence strategic decisions
Mentor analysts and promote best practices
Contribute to Fabric / Lakehouse architecture and semantic models
All other projects and duties as assigned

Strong background in business process analysis, documentation, and optimization
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to take initiative and lead technical projects end-to-end ·

Ability to communicate technical details to technical and non-technical resources ·
Excellent organization and prioritization skills with strong ability to multi-task and shift focus as necessary to meet deadlines ·

Computer literacy with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Adobe, OneDrive, etc.)

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
5+ years of BI, analytics, or data experience
Advanced Power BI expertise and data modeling
Strong SQL and data architecture knowledge
Experience delivering executive-level insights
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Experience in property insurance or the construction industry
Strong background in data science or machine learning
Experience with ETL pipelines and modern data platforms
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse architectures

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and computer printer
Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents
Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone
Occasionally will lift up to 10lbs
Ability to safely operate a passenger vehicle
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee will be working indoors. The employee will be exposed to air conditioning and heat. The employees will be exposed to normal noises throughout the office.
TRAVEL
This position may require up to 25% travel. This position may require travel for company meetings/events and training.
