Business Analyst (Banking / Credit Union Systems)

Overview

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with experience in banking or credit union

environments to support and enhance core financial systems. This role operates at the

intersection of business operations and technical support, partnering closely with stakeholders

and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and deliver

scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

● Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for internal

applications and banking platforms

● Troubleshoot application and system issues using SQL queries, logs, and debugging

techniques

● Support and maintain core banking systems, including Symitar / Jack Henry platforms

● Assist with application installations, configurations, and basic server maintenance

● Manage data exchanges and file transfers via FTP

● Work with JSON, HTML, and JavaScript in support of system integrations

● Automate operational tasks using scripting (e.g., batch scripting)

● Provide remote technical support using standard support tools

● Track, manage, and resolve issues through ticketing systems

Required Qualifications

● 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technical

Support role

● Background in banking, credit unions, or financial services

● Hands-on experience with Symitar / Jack Henry core banking platforms

● Strong working knowledge of:

○ SQL

○ HTML

○ JavaScript

○ JSON

● Experience with FTP, ticketing systems, and remote support tools

● Proven ability to troubleshoot software issues and analyze system behavior

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience supporting core banking system integrations

● Exposure to API-based systems or automation workflows

● Familiarity with production system support in regulated financial environments
