Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for streamlining operations? Northwest Pump is seeking a Business Application Analyst to join our team in NW Portland. In this pivotal role, you'll work at the intersection of technology and operations – optimizing our systems to align seamlessly with business goals, enhance productivity, and power our continued growth.
What will this position do?
- Develop subject matter expertise on the capabilities and functionality of our various business software applications, including ERP, CRM, and field service management
- Work with business teams to understand intra- and inter-departmental workflows
- Configure, customize, and extend applications to meet business objectives, overcome challenges, and optimize processes
- Configure and support inter-application integrations and data flows
- Review and evaluate new features and upgrades released by application vendors and incorporate into our processes and workflows as appropriate
- Develop and deliver end-user training and documentation
- Perform ongoing application administration and support
- Work with application vendor support, internal business teams, and IT staff as necessary to assist with outages, bugs fixes, and problem resolution
- Manage implementation and upgrade projects
- Participate in application user communities to understand how other non-competitor businesses are using the applications effectively and to share best practice
- Regularly research and improve knowledge by keeping informed of software, features, and upgrades
- Engage with vendors to influence the future application development
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two years professional experience using and supporting enterprise business applications, working in an application specialist or business analyst role, or equivalent combination of work experience and education
- Experience with the Infor CloudSuite and Microsoft Dynamics platforms a plus
- Must have a very strong technical aptitude and be an active seeker of new technical skills and learning opportunities
- Proficiency in JavaScript or other scripting language, the Microsoft Power Platform, HTML/CSS, and SQL is a plus
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Knowledge and understanding of the distribution and service industries a significant plus
- Must have excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Must be reliable and dependable
- Excellent customer service and relationship skills
- Ability to organize, plan, and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, telephone systems, and multifunction printers
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of customers and co-workers; ability to read, write, and communicate in English
