    Job Description

    The Business Central Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related systems to ensure data consistency, system reliability, and operational efficiency. This role serves as the technical lead for ERP customization, integration, automation, and internal support. In this role, the Business Intelligence Engineer may have access to sensitive company data and will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and report to the Business Intelligence Manager.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    ERP Development & Support

    • Customize Business Central using AL and manage updates, patches, and version control.
    • Act as the internal expert for Business Central, providing support and troubleshooting.

    System Integration

    • Design and maintain integrations with systems like Tracelink, TrueCommerce, Shopify, and Dynamic Ship.
    • Build automation workflows using Power Automate.
    • Manage APIs and middleware.

    Process Improvement & BI Alignment

    • Partner with stakeholders to identify automation and data flow enhancements.
    • Support BI analysts with ERP data structuring and Power BI integration.
    • Assist in documentation and user training for ERP features.

    Change Management

    • Lead the ERP change lifecycle: requirements, development, testing, deployment.
    • Maintain documentation, versioning, and release schedules for all ERP changes.

    Security & Compliance

    • Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to enforce ERP data security, access controls, and audit trails.
    • Ensure ERP configurations meet internal and external regulatory requirements.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience/certifications).
    • 4+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central development (AL, C/AL, C# / .NET, Visual Studio).
    • Strong experience with Power Automate and Business Central integrations.
    • Proficient in ERP lifecycle management.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Relevant Microsoft certifications (BC Developer, Power Platform, Azure, Functional Consultant).
    • Experience with tools/platforms like Power BI, Fabric, Azure Data Factory, EDI.
    • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Sales and regulated industries.
    • Strong understanding of relational databases and ERP data structures.
