Business Developer – Commercial Landscape Maintenance

Role Overview
We are seeking a hunter-style Business Developer with proven experience selling commercial landscape maintenance services. This role is responsible for generating net-new recurring revenue, owning the full sales cycle through close, and partnering closely with operations to ensure scopes are accurate, competitive, and profitable.
This is not a relationship-only or meeting-setting role. Success requires discipline, urgency, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to independently move deals forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop net-new commercial landscape maintenance opportunities across the DFW market
- Independently conduct property walks and initial site evaluations
- Collaborate with operations and estimating teams to develop accurate, competitive proposals
- Manage and maintain a structured sales pipeline within HubSpot CRM
- Negotiate pricing, scopes, and contract terms to close profitable contracts
- Build and sustain a visible, measurable sales pipeline
- Deliver $1M+ in annual net-new contract revenue
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in commercial landscape maintenance or related field services
- Demonstrated hunter mentality with documented new-business sales success
- Comfortable discussing scopes, budgets, margins, and operational realities
- Strong negotiation, closing, and deal-management skills
- Local to the DFW market with established territory familiarity
- Highly organized, accountable, and metrics-driven
- Thrives in lean environments with autonomy and high performance expectations
Compensation & Incentives
- Competitive base salary (target range: ~$90K; flexible for the right candidate)
- Commission on gross sales (3–6%) with potential accelerators
