    PEC (Progressive Expert Consulting) is looking for a Business Development Associate to join our team. We don’t just want an employee; we want a future leader. In this role, you will be the frontline representative of our brand, traveling to trade shows, researching our next big client, and helping our senior team close deals.

    About the Role

    This is the perfect role for a passionate and articulate professional who wants to participate in and learn the art of business development from the ground up. You will work directly with our Marketing Specialist and Director of Business Development, getting first-hand experience on how to build a business.

    Responsibilities

    The "Face" of PEC (Sales & Events)

    Travel & Network: You will be our boots-on-the-ground at industry trade shows and conferences. Your goal? Shake hands, make friends, and represent PEC with confidence and style.

    Chase the Opportunity: You’ll follow up on leads that come in from our marketing campaigns, ensuring no opportunity slips through the cracks.

    Open Doors: You’ll identify prospective partners and set up the initial introductions for our Business Development Director.

    The "Voice" of PEC (Marketing & Research)

    Intel Gathering: You will be our investigator, digging into competitor data, finding the right decision-makers at target companies, and spotting trends before anyone else.

    Campaign Execution: You’ll work with our Marketing Specialist to bring our digital strategy to life, helping draft social posts and engaging with our online community.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

    Willingness to travel (approx. 10-20%) for events.

    Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

    Required Skills

    Tech-savvy (Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Act! CRM, and modern communication platforms is required. Familiarity with social media dashboards, creative design software, or project management tools is a strong plus).

    You have "Executive Presence": You are articulate, professional, and comfortable holding a conversation with a CEO or a Director. You can write a clean, persuasive email and speak with clarity.

    You are self-driven but focused: You have a nose for opportunity and the hustle to chase it. You are comfortable working autonomously to find leads, while ensuring your efforts always support the broader company goals defined by leadership.

    You are a researcher at heart: You know how to use LinkedIn, Google, and social tools to find answers. You know how to dig deep into companies, industries, and emerging trends to uncover the competitive intelligence that gives us an edge.

    You want to learn: You are eager to soak up knowledge from our engineers and leadership team.

    Pay range and compensation package

    Starting Base: $50,000+

    Commission: Generous commission structure on top of base salary for closing new business.

    Bonuses: Additional performance bonuses for generating Qualified Leads.
