    About the Role Stonegrove Roofing Partners is seeking a Business Development Associate to join our investment team and lead acquisition sourcing efforts across our growing roofing platform. This role is central to driving deal flow and expanding our network of partner companies. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with owner-operated roofing businesses across target markets.

    This is a high-impact, high-autonomy position with direct exposure to platform leadership and a clear path for growth as we continue to scale through acquisition.

    What You Will Do

    Lead market mapping efforts to identify acquisition targets across priority geographies

    Build and maintain a proprietary database of roofing businesses and industry contacts

    Develop and execute outbound outreach strategies to generate a consistent pipeline of opportunities

    Engage directly with business owners, brokers, and intermediaries to source on and off-market deals

    Conduct initial screening of opportunities including financial, operational, and market assessments

    Evaluate key market dynamics such as housing stock, storm activity, and competitive landscape

    Manage all pipeline activity within the CRM and ensure accurate tracking of deal progress

    Support early-stage conversations with founders, guiding them through the initial exploration of a potential sale

    What We Are Looking For

    3 to 5 years of experience in private equity, corporate development, investment banking, or home services

    Direct experience in business development, deal sourcing, or origination

    Demonstrated ability to identify and engage owner-operated businesses

    Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial and operational performance

    Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities

    Comfort operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of ownership

    Compensation- tied directly to deals you source and close, with meaningful upside and a draw for stability, in addition to the provided base salary.
