Business Development Executive – Medical Stop Loss
The Stop Loss Business Development Executive is responsible for facilitating new business and customer retention with key policyholder clients.
Experience/Qualifications:
- 3+ years of fully insured or self-insured medical experience. 5+ preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Efficient communication with both internal and external customers
Skills/Abilities
- Actively identify and develop new business opportunities
- Cultivate strong relationships with insurance brokers and potential new policyholders
- Ability to interpret and understand Plan Document wording and the application of provisions including eligibility.
- Engage prospects through a consultative sales approach and articulate the value proposition of ERP's medical stop-loss products.
- Utilize a strong foundation in insurance underwriting principles to assess risk
- Clearly and persuasively communicate ERP's value proposition through presentations, proposals, and ongoing client interactions, adapting communication style to various audiences.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent customer service, organizational with strong analytical skills
- Detail/results-oriented
- Ability to interpret and understand Fully Insured contracts
- Customer Service focused.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborate effectively with internal underwriting, claims, and client service teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
