Business Development Manager — Luxury Residential Construction

Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth within the luxury residential construction market. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional with a deep network in New York City’s high-end property, architectural, and design communities. You will play a critical role in cultivating new opportunities, nurturing elite client and partner relationships, and elevating brand presence within the most exclusive circles of the residential construction world.
This position requires exceptional polish, discretion, and a strong understanding of the expectations of high-net-worth individuals and the professionals who serve them.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify, develop, and nurture high-quality leads for luxury residential construction projects.
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with prospective clients, architects, interior designers, real estate brokers, developers, and other influential partners.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and proactively convert qualified leads into active pursuits.
Networking & Market Presence
- Represent the company at industry events, design showcases, luxury real estate functions, and exclusive private gatherings.
- Host, organize, and participate in curated events and educational engagements to showcase expertise and expand brand visibility.
- Develop targeted outreach strategies to position the company as a go-to partner for bespoke residential construction.
Collaboration & Internal Alignment
- Partner closely with preconstruction, project management, and executive teams to ensure a seamless handoff from first contact through contract execution.
- Provide insights into market trends, competitive activity, and client expectations.
- Support the development of tailored marketing materials, proposals, and presentations for high-value opportunities.
Contracts & Negotiation
- Work with internal legal and financial teams to negotiate and finalize agreements.
- Ensure proposed scopes and terms align with internal capabilities, client expectations, and project realities.
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Deliver regular updates on business development activities, active pursuits, and market trends.
- Help inform strategic decision-making through ongoing analysis of opportunities, pricing dynamics, and partnership potentials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of business development experience in luxury construction, premium real estate, or architectural/design services.
- Demonstrated success securing high-value contracts and building long-term client relationships.
- Deep knowledge of NYC’s luxury residential market and its key players.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to network effectively in high-net-worth and industry-elite environments.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
