Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager who will lead efforts to acquire new commercial maintenance clients, expand enhancement revenue, and drive long-term growth across landscape maintenance, snow removal, and construction services. This role is ideal for a proactive, relationship-focused professional with experience in contract sales and solution-based selling.
Responsibilities:
Identify, pursue, and secure new maintenance contracts with commercial and institutional clients.
Prospect and close enhancement work with both new and existing customers.
Conduct sales presentations and represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
Collaborate with operations and account management to ensure seamless handoffs and service delivery.
Leverage bidding and measuring software to produce accurate, competitive proposals.
Maintain detailed sales records, pipeline activity, and customer data within the CRM.
Participate in marketing efforts, association memberships, and industry committees to support brand visibility.
Contribute to campaign development for maintenance, snow, and construction services.
Attend weekly sales meetings and monthly planning sessions with project and construction managers.
Support account and operations teams in-office with day-to-day sales-related needs.
Qualifications:
3+ years of business development experience in landscape maintenance, facility services, or a related field.
Strong understanding of contract sales cycles and enhancement project scoping.
Proficient in CRM platforms and estimating software (training provided if needed).
Comfortable engaging with executives, property managers, and facilities teams.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work extended hours as needed during seasonal peaks.
Compensation:
Base salary up to 100k/year plus commission and full benefits.
