Business Development Manager – Life Sciences | Remote

Preferred locations: Northern California, Southern California, or Mid-Atlantic

A well-established, profitable biospecimen company with more than 20 years in the life sciences space is growing its commercial team.

This is not a traditional biobank sales role. The company specializes in highly customized, prospective sample collections built around specific patient profiles, making this a consultative, science-driven sale that requires real credibility with the research community.

They are seeking a self-directed Business Development Manager to own a territory end-to-end — from prospecting and relationship development through feasibility discussions, pricing, quoting, and close. This is a high-autonomy role for someone who knows how to build pipeline, navigate complex scientific conversations, and drive business without a lot of hand-holding.

If you are a true hunter who can confidently engage biomarker scientists, translational research teams, and study leads, this could be a strong fit. Apply now!

    Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Fully remote, with preference for candidates based in:

    • Northern California, ideally the Bay Area
    • Southern California, ideally the San Diego area
    • Mid-Atlantic, ideally the New Jersey area

Compensation: Base salary up to $150K + OTE to $200K + benefits

    What They’re Looking For:

    • Scientific fluency — you bring lab exposure, assay familiarity, or close proximity to translational research and can speak credibly with scientific stakeholders
    • Established regional relationships — you have an existing network within pharma, biotech, or related research organizations in your territory
    • Hunter mindset — this role is heavily focused on new business development, with a strong emphasis on self-generated pipeline
    • Full-cycle sales ownership — you are comfortable managing the process from initial outreach through feasibility, pricing, quoting, and close

    Preferred Background:

    • 5+ years of full sales lifecycle experience
    • Prior experience in biospecimen, CRO, or other life sciences services sales
    • Experience supporting feasibility assessments and complex project scoping
    • Scientist-to-commercial background strongly welcomed; former researchers or lab professionals who moved into sales can be an excellent fit

*U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply. Sponsorship is not available at this time.*

  • Compensation
    $150,000-$200,000 per year
