Business Development Manager - Precision Machining - Base Salary to 160k/year - Philadelphia, PA
Our client is an established precision manufacturing organization with decades of experience producing complex machined components, assemblies, and finished products for industrial customers. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth through the development of new business relationships and expansion of existing manufacturing accounts.
Responsibilities
Develop and grow relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and industrial manufacturing organizations.
Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry relationships.
Manage and expand existing customer accounts while achieving annual revenue growth objectives.
Build relationships with engineering, procurement, supply chain, operations, and executive-level decision makers.
Review engineering drawings, CAD files, specifications, and customer requirements to identify manufacturing solutions.
Consult with customers regarding manufacturability, production methods, materials, tolerances, and fabrication processes.
Coordinate with internal engineering and manufacturing teams to develop customer solutions and quotations.
Conduct customer meetings, plant visits, and account reviews to identify new opportunities and strengthen relationships.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from prospecting through award.
Stay informed on industry trends, manufacturing technologies, and competitive market conditions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a closely related technical field.
8+ years of B2B technical sales experience within precision machining, CNC machining, precision manufacturing, precision sheet metal fabrication, metal stamping, metal processing, or a related manufacturing environment.
Active and established relationships with OEM procurement teams, manufacturing decision-makers, engineers, purchasing professionals, or industrial buyers.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, blueprints, and CAD files including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets in a consultative technical sales environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining operations, engineering specifications, tolerances, and production capabilities.
