    • Our client, a structural engineering consulting firm supporting commercial and industrial construction projects nationwide, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive business growth and expand relationships throughout the Tampa and South Florida construction markets. This role will focus on developing new business opportunities with architects, general contractors, developers, owners’ representatives, and other key decision-makers within the AEC industry.
    • The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in identifying and pursuing commercial and industrial building opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships, supporting proposal and pursuit strategy efforts, and helping position the company for continued market growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with architects, developers, general contractors, owners, and other AEC industry partners throughout the Tampa and South Florida markets
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for structural engineering consulting services within commercial and industrial construction sectors
    • Generate and manage a pipeline of project opportunities through networking, client engagement, referrals, industry events, and market outreach
    • Monitor RFQ, RFP, and procurement platforms for upcoming project opportunities
    • Collaborate with leadership and technical teams on go/no-go decisions, pursuit strategies, and business development initiatives
    • Maintain regular communication with both prospective and existing clients to strengthen long-term partnerships
    • Conduct market research related to construction activity, economic trends, competitors, and regional development opportunities
    • Support strategic growth initiatives within the Florida AEC market
    • Provide pipeline updates, forecasting information, and business development activity reports to leadership
    • Attend industry networking events, association meetings, trade events, and client meetings as needed
    • Travel locally throughout Tampa, West Palm Beach, and Miami markets as business needs require

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of business development, client relations, account management, and/or strategic growth experience within the Architectural, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry
    • Established network of architects, developers, contractors, and/or construction industry professionals within the Tampa, FL market
    • Experience developing new business opportunities and supporting project pursuit efforts for commercial and/or industrial construction projects
    • Experience working with or selling into architectural firms, engineering firms, general contractors, developers, construction managers, or related AEC organizations
    • Experience supporting RFQ and/or RFP pursuit activities within the construction or engineering industry
    • Strong relationship-building, presentation, and client engagement skills
    • Ability to travel locally within Florida, including West Palm Beach and Miami, as business needs require

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 90k – 110k/year range plus bonus
