    About the Role

    Purple Unicorn is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Recruiter & Business Development Consultant to support two distinct but interconnected areas of the business:

    1. Nonprofit & Community–Based Recruiting

    Driving outreach, partnership development, and full-cycle recruiting for nonprofit and community- based partnerships nationwide.

    2. College Coaching Outreach & Project Management

    Supporting business development, outreach, and operational execution for PUE's college coaching business.

    This role blends recruiting, sales, outreach strategy, project management, and relationship building across both Purple Unicorn's Talent Acquisition Business Unit and TalentWise (fractional HR support) collaborative projects. The consultant will serve as a brand ambassador, strategic thought partner, and full life-cycle recruiter responsible for delivering exceptional client and candidate experiences while meeting defined metrics and growth targets.

    The position reports directly to Melissa Rothschild, Chief Operating Officer , with dotted-line oversight from TalentWise / Suzanne Rosenthal as relevant to project work.

    Key Responsibilities

    **I. Nonprofit and Community-based Partnerships & Recruiting **

    (Primary focus; recruiting + business development)

    Sales, Outreach & Business Development

    • Develop and execute outreach strategies to expand community partnerships nationwide.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for nonprofit community-based organizations, including community centers and cultural institutions, congregational and faith-affiliated organizations, educational and youth-serving nonprofits, human services and social impact organizations, foundations and philanthropic entities (minimum 3 new partnerships per month).
    • Prepare and present recruitment proposals and hiring solutions tailored to client needs.
    • Support company-wide sales initiatives, branding efforts, and visibility campaigns.
    • Manage communications and follow-up with stakeholders to maintain high-touch, relationship-driven engagement.

    Full-Cycle Recruiting

    • Own end-to-end recruiting for assigned requisitions across various industries and organizational levels.
    • Source, screen, interview, evaluate, and present high-quality candidates.
    • Develop compelling job descriptions and recruitment proposals for nonprofit and community-based organizations and partner clients.
    • Manage candidate pipelines and move talent through the lifecycle efficiently.
    • Conduct thorough behavioral screens and competency evaluations.

    **II. College Coaching Outreach & Project Management **

    (Business development + operational execution)

    Outreach & Business Development

    • Support outreach and lead generation for the college coaching business.
    • Build and nurture relationships with prospective partners, referral sources, schools, and families.
    • Assist in developing marketing materials, outreach campaigns, and partnership proposals in partnership with the team and external marketing vendor.

    Project Management & Program Support

    • Serve as Project Manager for college coaching initiatives and TalentWise project work as assigned.
    • Coordinate communications, scheduling, and client touchpoints to ensure a seamless experience.
    • Support development of training, career-development proposals, and college-to-career pipeline resources.
    • Participate in strategic planning, marketing discussions, and organization-wide growth projects.

    III. Pipeline & Reporting Management

    • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking for all active roles, updating daily across all locations and requisitions.
    • Provide daily status reports on progress, challenges, and upcoming priorities consistent with organizational expectations.
    • Ensure compliance with Purple Unicorn Enterprises internal processes and documentation standards.

    Qualifications & Ideal Profile

    Required Experience & Skills

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruiting, business development, HR, community engagement, or nonprofit partnerships.
    • Demonstrated success managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, organize, and execute independently.
    • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills; comfortable engaging with leaders, candidates, families, and community partners.
    • Ability to develop outreach strategies, nurture leads, and convert relationships into partnerships.
    • High level of professionalism, discretion, and client-service orientation.
    • Strong writing skills for job descriptions, proposals, outreach messaging, and candidate communication.
    • Tech-savvy with comfort using CRMs, ATS tools, spreadsheets, and digital communication platforms.

    Preferred Experience

    • Familiarity with the nonprofit landscape (organizations, networks, hiring needs, culture).
    • Experience in education, coaching, or college advising environments.
    • Background in HR consulting, training, or talent development.

    • No cap on earnings — compensation scales with performance, initiative, and the ability to build and sustain strong pipelines.
