    Business Development Representative (Manufacturing) New Customer Acquisition

    Location: San Jose / South Bay Area, CA Employment: Full-Time, W-2 Compensation: $20–23/hour + 3% of revenue from new customers. (for 18 months)

    We are a precision manufacturing company producing sheet metal and CNC machined components, including formed, welded, and machined parts as well as mechanical assemblies.

    We support customers in semiconductor, medical, data center, and other high-tech industries, delivering low-to-mid volume, high-mix production and prototype-to-production programs.

    This role is focused on driving new customer growth for our manufacturing services. The position is designed for someone who wants real ownership of business development, direct access to decision-makers, and compensation tied directly to the value they create.

    This role is ideal for a sales professional who:

    Has experience selling B2B services or technical products

    Is comfortable prospecting and opening new doors

    Prefers a simple, transparent commission plan

    Wants to grow with a company rather than manage legacy accounts

    This is not a corporate sales role with layers of management or an inherited book of business. It is a hands-on growth role with meaningful upside.

    What You’ll Be Responsible For

    Identifying and pursuing new customers in semiconductor, medical, data center, and other high-tech manufacturing markets

    Prospecting via outbound outreach and in-person visits

    Qualifying customer requirements and presenting company capabilities

    Coordinating with internal estimating and engineering teams

    Following up on quotes and converting opportunities into customer POs

    Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline

    Compensation Structure (Simple & Transparent)

    Base Pay: $20–23 per hour

    Commission:

    3% of revenue from new customers only

    Paid for 18 months from the first PO date per customer

    What Success Looks Like

    First 90 days: pipeline built, RFQs active, first PO(s)

    3–6 months: consistent new customer activity

    6–12 months: predictable monthly new-customer revenue

    Experience & Requirements

    3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience

    Experience selling into manufacturing, semiconductor, medical, data center, or other technical industriespreferred

    Comfortable working independently with accountability

    Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills

    Must have a reliable personal vehicle for business-related travel

    Valid driver’s license and insurance required
