    As a Business Development Representative (also referred to as a Marketer or Hospital Liaison), you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and impact by building and nurturing relationships with referral partners. This dynamic, field-based position focuses on increasing admissions to our drug rehab and behavioral health programs by engaging healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other key stakeholders. You will serve as an ambassador for our organization, promoting our evidence-based treatment programs while fostering trust and collaboration within the community. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, relationship-building, and a deep commitment to our mission of helping individuals recover from addiction.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build Strategic Relationships : Identify and cultivate partnerships with potential referral sources, including healthcare professionals, therapists, hospitals, employee assistance programs (EAPs), and community organizations, to drive admissions to our treatment programs.
    • Represent the Organization : Act as the face of our organization at community events, conferences, professional associations, and networking opportunities, effectively communicating our mission and services.
    • Develop Referral Strategies : Create and implement strategic outreach plans to increase referrals and admissions, tailoring approaches to the unique needs of each referral source.
    • Conduct Presentations and Tours : Deliver compelling presentations and facilitate facility tours for potential referral partners to showcase our programs, amenities, and treatment philosophy.
    • Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with clinical and admissions teams to ensure seamless referral processes, providing a smooth transition for clients entering treatment.
    • Utilize CRM Tools : Track and manage relationship development activities, referral outcomes, and follow-up efforts using CRM software to maintain organized and data-driven outreach.
    • Maintain Program Knowledge : Stay well-versed in our treatment programs, insurance acceptance policies, admission criteria, and clinical offerings to effectively communicate value to referral partners.
    • Understand Territory Dynamics : Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape, referral networks, and community needs within your assigned territory.
    • Host Educational Events : Organize and lead educational workshops, seminars, and events for referral partners and community members to raise awareness about addiction treatment and our services.
    • Support Marketing Efforts : Collaborate with the marketing team to develop outreach materials, campaigns, and strategies that align with business development goals.
    • Report and Analyze : Prepare regular reports on outreach activities, referral metrics, and market trends, providing actionable insights to leadership to optimize performance.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, preferably within healthcare, behavioral health, or addiction treatment settings.
    • Strong understanding of addiction treatment, recovery principles, and the behavioral healthcare landscape.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging presentations and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proven networking and relationship-building skills, with a track record of establishing professional connections.
    • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally and regionally (approximately 80% of the time).
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, to accommodate events and networking opportunities.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Direct experience in substance abuse treatment, mental health services, or related fields.
    • Established relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, or EAPs in the region.
    • Familiarity with healthcare marketing strategies and HIPAA compliance requirements.
