About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to join our growing sales team. This is a role that blends inside sales with community outreach. You will spend your mornings making outbound calls to prospects and your afternoons engaging with the local community to generate meetings and build relationships.
What You Will Do
Conduct outbound prospecting calls into our Indiana market during morning hours
Build and maintain a database of warm prospects through consultative questioning and active listening
Qualify leads through thoughtful discovery conversations, focusing on understanding prospect needs
Set qualified meetings for the outside sales team with prospects who show genuine need and fit
Represent the company at local networking events, chamber meetings, and community gatherings in the Tumwater area
Identify and engage potential clients through community outreach and relationship building
Collaborate with marketing on local event support and lead follow-up
Focus on building relationships and asking questions rather than aggressive selling
Document all prospect interactions and maintain CRM hygiene

Requirements
1-2 years of experience in a related field (sales, customer service, hospitality, or retail a plus)
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong verbal communication skills and a professional phone presence
Comfortable making outbound calls and handling rejection with resilience
Outgoing personality with enthusiasm for community involvement
Ability to ask insightful questions and listen actively
Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce experience a plus)
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred but not required
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for afternoon community outreach
Must be able to work from our Tumwater, WA office full-time
Optional Requirements
Previous experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality
Familiarity with the MSP or technology services industry
Active involvement in local business associations or community organizations
Experience with public speaking or presenting

Work Schedule
Morning (Call Block): 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Outbound calling to Indiana market from the Tumwater office
Afternoon (Field/Community): 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Community outreach, local events, networking, and prospect meetings
