    MIM International, Inc. has been a trusted name in the industrial PVF (Pipe, Valves, and Fittings) import-export and distribution sector since 1991. We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Business Development Specialist to expand our customer base and drive profitability across the Texas Gulf Coast and parts of Louisiana.

    Position Summary

    This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic growth plans, and managing customer relationships—especially in the industrial valves segment, with fittings, pipe, and related products as complementary lines. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the PVF industry and a proven track record in business development within the region.

    Key Responsibilities

    Conduct market research and analyze trends in the Gulf Coast industrial sector.

    Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, field visits, and industry events.

    Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans.

    Qualify leads and convert them into long-term clients.

    Support CAPEX, OPEX, and MRO project opportunities.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.

    Negotiate and close deals, ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Provide regular performance reports and market feedback to senior management.

    Educate clients on product applications and value propositions.

    Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

    Resolve commercial issues related to billing, bids, credit, and operations.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

    Minimum 3-5 years of experience in PVF or a similar industrial sector.

    Strong knowledge of industrial valves is required; familiarity with fittings and piping is preferred.

    Proficient in MS Office 365, especially Excel and SharePoint; ERP experience is a plus.

    Skilled in customer sourcing, CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms.

    Ability to read technical catalogs and spec sheets.

    Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

    Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven.

    Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    Bilingual (English/Spanish) is mandatory.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands

    Office-based with occasional warehouse visits (PPE required).

    Exposure to outdoor elements and use of stairs/elevators may be necessary.

    Must be able to lift to 25 lbs and perform standard physical tasks (walking, standing, reaching, etc.).
