The Equity Mining Specialist is responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting service drive customers who have positive equity into new vehicle sales opportunities. This role bridges the gap between service and sales by using CRM/equity mining tools, customer data, and in-person communication to create additional revenue streams while enhancing customer retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Equity Mining & Lead Generation:
Use equity mining software (e.g., VIN-specific equity tools, CRM data, OEM platforms) to identify customers with favorable trade-in positions.
Analyze vehicle, payoff, and market data to produce accurate equity offers.
Create and distribute targeted communications (email, text, calls) to generate qualified leads.
Service Drive Engagement
Meet and greet customers in the service lane to assess trade-in potential.
Present tailored upgrade options and benefits based on equity position, mileage, and service history.
Collaborate with service advisors to identify customers likely ready for a trade or upgrade.
Sales Support:
Set appointments for the sales team and ensure proper handoff with key customer information.
Collaborate with sales management to structure attractive upgrade offers.
Track customer engagement and follow-up through the CRM with complete, accurate notes.
Customer Relationship Management
Build rapport and maintain strong communication with existing customers.
Educate customers on their equity position, trade values, and incentives.
Maintain high customer satisfaction by delivering a smooth, informative upgrade experience.
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
Monitor daily/weekly/monthly equity mining activity and conversions.
Maintain equity mining dashboards, lead logs, and appointment calendars.
Prepare performance reports for management, including:
Contact attempts
Appointment set/show rates
Trade-in conversions
Service-to-sales revenue
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or related field.
- Strong understanding of market research, sales strategies, and financial principles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
